The NER series of electric chain hoists from Harrington were designed using the latest technology, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists that provide reliable performance in both routine situations and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized, grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time, and a five-pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life. The cooler motor and brake are attributed to the fan-cooled motor, while low-profile upper and lower limit switches and plug-in pendant and power supply cords enhance usability. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built environmentally friendly to meet RoHS requirements, and exceed ASME H4 duty rating. All hoists come with a test certificate verifying that they have been factory load tested to 125% of rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
