The NER series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered with advanced technology, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists that deliver reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. The hoists are equipped with "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which features a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized. Additional specifications include a grade 80 nickel plated load chain, a count hour meter to record and display the number of lowering starts and hoist on time, a 5 pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life, and a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor. The design incorporates low profile upper and lower limit switches along with plug-in pendant and power supply cords. All hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, comply with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist comes with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
