The NER Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington feature an under-the-cover variable frequency drive that provides exceptional load control and adjustable two speeds with a speed ratio of up to 12:1. Key attributes include "The Guardian": smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that does not release unless the motor is energized, a grade 80 nickel plated load chain, and a variable frequency drive that offers speed adjustability along with integral hour counting functionality to track the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. The design incorporates a 5-pocket load sheave to minimize vibration and prolong chain life, a cooler motor and brake facilitated by the fan-cooled motor, and low-profile upper and lower limit switches. Additionally, the hoists come with plug-in pendant and power supply cords. They are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly to meet RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is supplied with a test certificate that verifies factory load testing to 125% of the rated capacity in accordance with ASME B30.16.
