The NER series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered using advanced technology to ensure high quality and reliable performance in various working conditions. Each hoist includes features such as "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized. The hoists are equipped with grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time, and a 5 pocket load sheave designed to minimize vibration and extend chain life. Additionally, the cooler motor and brake are facilitated by a fan-cooled motor, while low-profile upper and lower limit switches and plug-in pendant and power supply cords enhance usability. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, constructed in an environmentally friendly manner to meet RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each unit comes with a test certificate confirming that it has been factory load tested to 125% of rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
