The Nerp series of electric chain hoists from Harrington were designed using the latest technology and incorporating a push/pull trolley, resulting in high quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists that provide reliable performance in both routine situations and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian": Smart Brake Technology, a current driven electromagnetic brake that does not release unless the motor is energized, a grade 80 nickel plated load chain, a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time, a 5 pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, and a cooler motor and brake attributed to the fan cooled motor. Additional attributes comprise low profile upper and lower limit switches along with plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built environmentally friendly meeting RoHS requirements, and exceed ASME H4 duty rating. All hoists are provided with a test certificate verifying they have been factory load tested to 125% of rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
