The NER Dual Speed Series of electric chain hoists from Harrington feature an under the cover variable frequency drive that provides superior load control and two field-adjustable speeds with a speed ratio of up to 12:1. Key features include "The Guardian," a smart brake technology that utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged until the motor is energized, a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a variable frequency drive that allows for speed adjustability and includes integral count hour functionality, which records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. The design incorporates a 5-pocket load sheave to minimize vibration and extend chain life, a fan-cooled motor for reduced operating temperatures of the motor and brake, low-profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly in compliance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Furthermore, all hoists come with a test certificate verifying that they have been factory load tested to 125% of their rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
