The NER Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features a variable frequency drive that enhances load control and allows for field adjustable two speeds with up to a 12:1 speed ratio. Key attributes include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged until the motor is energized. Additionally, the hoists are equipped with a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, a five-pocket load sheave that reduces vibration and extends chain life, and a cooler motor and brake due to a fan-cooled motor. The design incorporates low profile upper and lower limit switches, as well as plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists comply with UL standards, specifically UL 1340, and are built to be environmentally friendly, meeting RoHS requirements while exceeding the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist includes a test certificate that verifies it has undergone factory load testing at 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
