The NER Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington feature an under-the-cover variable frequency drive for enhanced load control and offer field-adjustable two speeds with a speed ratio of up to 12:1. Key features include "The Guardian": Smart Brake Technology, which is a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized, and a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain. The variable frequency drive allows for speed adjustability and includes integral hour-count functionality that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist operating time. Additional specifications comprise a 5-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake thanks to the fan-cooled motor, low-profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, environmentally friendly as they meet RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is provided with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
