The NERP series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered using the latest technology and feature a push/pull trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom hoists that ensure reliable performance for both routine tasks and severe working conditions. These hoists include advanced features such as "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized. The kit consists of grade 80 nickel plated load chain, a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist operation time, and a five-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life. The cooler motor and brake performance is attributed to a fan-cooled motor, along with low-profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly in compliance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is accompanied by a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16 standards.
