The NER Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington incorporate an under the cover variable frequency drive, offering enhanced load control and field adjustable two speeds with up to a 12:1 speed ratio. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized, a grade 80 nickel plated load chain, and a variable frequency drive that allows for speed adjustability and integral count hour functionality, which records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. Additionally, the hoist features a 5 pocket load sheave to minimize vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to a fan-cooled motor, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built in an environmentally friendly manner to meet RoHS requirements, and exceed ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is provided with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
