The NER Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington feature an under the cover variable frequency drive that provides excellent load control and field adjustable two speeds with a speed ratio of up to 12:1. Key attributes include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized. The hoists come equipped with grade 80 nickel plated load chain, a variable frequency drive for speed adjustability, and integral count hour functionality to record and display the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. Additional features include a 5 pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake thanks to the fan-cooled motor, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, comply with RoHS requirements, and exceed ASME H4 duty ratings. Each hoist is supplied with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
