The Nerm series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are designed with advanced technology and include a motorized trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists and trolleys suitable for both routine tasks and severe working environments. Key features of the hoist include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized, a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist operating time, and a 5-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life. Additionally, the hoist features a fan-cooled motor leading to cooler motor and brake performance, low-profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly by meeting RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. The trolley includes an extremely durable and reliable pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers for smoother motion and reduced beam wear. Each hoist is supplied with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
