The Nerm series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered with advanced technology, featuring a motorized trolley that results in high quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists and trolleys designed for reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. The hoists incorporate "The Guardian," which is smart brake technology utilizing a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized. Additional features include grade 80 nickel plated load chain, a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist-on time, a 5 pocket load sheave to minimize vibration and extend chain life, and a fan-cooled motor that contributes to cooler motor and brake operation. The hoists also come equipped with low profile upper and lower limit switches and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. They are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly in compliance with RoHS requirements, and exceed ASME H4 duty ratings. Trolley features consist of a highly durable and reliable pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers to enhance trolley motion and reduce beam wear. Each hoist is delivered with a test certificate confirming that it has been factory load tested to 125% of the rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
