The Nerm series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are designed with advanced technology, featuring a motorized trolley for enhanced performance. These hoists offer high quality and low headroom, making them suitable for both routine and severe working environments. Key hoist features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized; a Grade 80 nickel plated load chain; a count hour meter that records and displays lowering starts and hoist operation time; and a 5 pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life. Additionally, the cooler motor and brake benefit from a fan-cooled design, while low profile upper and lower limit switches provide safety. The plug-in pendant and power supply cords enhance usability. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly in accordance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Trolley features include a highly durable pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers that promote smoother trolley motion and reduce beam wear.
