The Nerm series of electric chain hoists from Harrington boasts advanced technology and includes a motorized trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists and trolleys that ensure reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. Key features of the hoist consist of "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged until the motor is energized, a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. The design incorporates a five-pocket load sheave to minimize vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, low-profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, environmentally friendly by meeting RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. The trolley features include a durable and reliable pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers that enhance trolley motion and reduce beam wear. Additionally, all hoists come with a test certificate confirming that they have been factory load tested to 125% of rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
