The Nerm series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features advanced technology and a motorized trolley, offering high quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists and trolleys designed for reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. The hoist includes "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized. Key features comprise a grade 80 nickel plated load chain, a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time, a five-pocket load sheave that reduces vibration and extends chain life, and a cooler motor and brake attributed to the fan-cooled motor. It also includes low profile upper and lower limit switches, as well as plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, comply with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. The trolley is equipped with a highly durable and reliable pull-rotor brake, along with drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers to enhance trolley motion and minimize beam wear. Additionally, every hoist is provided with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
