The NERM series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features a motorized trolley and is engineered for high quality, low headroom, full-featured performance suitable for both routine and severe working environments. The hoist incorporates advanced features such as "The Guardian," which is a smart brake technology utilizing a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized. It also includes a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist operation time, and a five-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life. The cool motor and brake are facilitated by a fan-cooled motor, while low profile upper and lower limit switches and plug-in pendant and power supply cords enhance usability. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, environmentally friendly by meeting RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. The trolley features a highly durable pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers that promote smoother motion and reduced beam wear. Each hoist is accompanied by a test certificate confirming that it has been factory load tested to 125% of rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
