The NERM series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered with advanced technology and feature a motorized trolley, ensuring high quality and low headroom while delivering reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. Key features of the hoist include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized, grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. The design includes a 5-pocket load sheave to minimize vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake thanks to the fan-cooled motor, low-profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, constructed in an environmentally friendly manner to meet RoHS requirements, and exceed ASME H4 duty ratings. The trolley features a robust pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers, all contributing to smoother trolley motion and reduced beam wear. Each hoist is supplied with a test certificate confirming that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in compliance with ASME B30.16.
