The Nerm series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered with advanced technology and include a motorized trolley, offering high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists and trolleys that ensure reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. Key features of the hoists comprise "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized, and a Grade 80 nickel-plated load chain. Additional attributes include a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time, a 5-pocket load sheave designed to minimize vibration and prolong chain life, a fan-cooled motor contributing to cooler motor and brake operation, as well as low-profile upper and lower limit switches and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, are built to be environmentally friendly in compliance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. The trolleys feature a highly durable pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers to facilitate smoother trolley motion and reduce beam wear. Every hoist comes with a test certificate confirming that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
