The Nerm series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features advanced technology and includes a motorized trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, and full-featured hoists and trolleys suitable for both routine operations and harsh working environments. Key attributes of the hoist include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized, a grade 80 nickel plated load chain, and a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. Additional specifications include a 5-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a fan-cooled motor that contributes to a cooler motor and brake, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and convenient plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, comply with RoHS environmental standards, and surpass the ASME H4 duty rating. Trolley features consist of a highly durable and reliable pull-rotor brake, drop stops and rubber bumpers, as well as side guide rollers for improved trolley motion and reduced beam wear. Each hoist is provided with a test certificate, confirming that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
