Constructed using the Meehanite® casting process, JET variable speed milling machines provide consistent and reliable operation. The kit includes a precision bored and honed milling head, a large diameter quill that is chromed, high precision class 7 spindle bearings, and a chrome plated motor shaft with lower bearing support. The spindle head is internally cooled, and the machine features a heavy-duty splined motor drive, a one-piece quill pinion and shaft, and a three-stage power downfeed with automatic stop. Additional features include a heavy-duty spindle brake, locks on all movable surfaces, precision hardened and ground ways and table, adjustable gibs throughout, and an internal coolant tank built into the casting base (coolant pump not included). The milling machine also comes with a tolerance test sheet, a one-shot lubrication system, way covers, a draw bar, and a toolbox with tools. The JET JTM-4VS series mills are available in single or three-phase power configurations and are backed by a two-year full service and parts warranty.
