The FR Evaporative Cooling Triangle Hat offers cooling relief combined with flame-resistant protection. It is made from a modacrylic cotton blend fabric that meets ASTM F1506 performance requirements with an Arc Thermal Performance Value (ATPV) rating of 7.1 cal/cm², classified as Category 1 per NFPA 70E, and complies with ASTM F2302 for flame resistance. To activate the cooling feature, the hat should be soaked in water for 2-5 minutes, providing hydration that lasts for up to 4 hours. It is re-usable by simply re-wetting it. The hat is available in solid blue and hi-vis lime colors.
