The 1/2 in. T316 stainless steel full port ball valve is a 3-piece, sold weld design with a pressure rating of 1000 psi. This ball valve utilizes a spherical disc to control flow between pipes, tubes, or hoses. Flow is permitted when the ball's hole is aligned with the inlet and outlet, while flow is obstructed when the ball is turned 90 degrees, making the hole perpendicular to the valve opening. This valve is classified as a full port because the diameter of the ball's hole matches the inner diameter of the connecting pipeline, which results in lower friction. Ball valves may feature a handle or lever that indicates the ball’s position for manual operation, and they are suitable for use in air, gas, liquid, and steam applications.
