The 2-1/2 in. stainless steel flanged ball valve features a bracket mount and has a pressure rating of 300 psi. This valve utilizes a spherical disc to control the flow between pipes, tubes, or hoses, allowing flow when the hole in the ball-shaped disc is aligned with the valve's inlet and outlet. The flow is obstructed when the ball is turned 90 degrees, rendering the hole perpendicular to the valve opening. The ball valve is categorized as full port if the hole size matches the inner diameter of the connecting pipeline, facilitating lower friction, while it is designated as reduced port if the hole is one size smaller than the pipeline, leading to reduced flow through the valve. It may include a handle or lever for manual operation, aligning with the ball's position (open or closed). This valve is suitable for applications involving air, gas, liquid, and steam.
