The 1-1/2 in. x 6 in. lead-free seamless red brass pipe nipple is manufactured from seamless red brass pipe, Alloy 230, and is rated for 140 psi with a Schedule 40 wall thickness. Red brass nipples offer superior machinability, reduced brittleness, and enhanced corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, with resistance to dezincification. Brass provides good corrosion resistance against water and heat and withstands attack from salt water, acids, minerals, and peaty soils found in water. This product is primarily used in commercial plumbing and OEM applications for water, but is also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
