Merit chrome plated brass schedule 40 nipple, measuring 3/4 x 6 NPT male, is produced from seamless red brass pipe, which is alloy 230. These chrome plated brass nipples are easier to machine, less brittle to work with, and offer superior resistance to corrosion compared to yellow brass, which can dezincify.
