The Merit Red Brass Seamless Standard Pipe Nipple measures 1-1/4 inches by 2-1/2 inches and features NPT male threads. Crafted from seamless red brass pipe, specifically alloy 230, this product is designed for superior machinability and reduced brittleness compared to yellow brass, while also providing enhanced resistance to corrosion (specifically, it will not dezincify). This brass nipple is suitable for a range of applications including water, oil, gas, and steam, and offers excellent corrosion resistance against water and heat, as well as protection from salt water, acids, and minerals found in peaty soils.
