The 1-1/4 in. x 5 in. lead free seamless red brass pipe nipple is rated for 140 psi and adheres to Schedule 40 standards. This import product is manufactured from seamless red brass pipe, specifically Alloy 230, which makes it easier to machine, less brittle, and significantly more resistant to corrosion than yellow brass, eliminating concerns about dezincification. With its excellent corrosion resistance to water and heat, the brass material is also impervious to attacks from salt water, acids, and minerals as well as peaty soils found in water. While primarily utilized for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, this brass nipple is versatile enough for use in oil, gas, and steam applications.
