The 1-1/2 in. x 2-1/2 in. lead-free seamless red brass pipe nipple is designed to withstand up to 140 psi and is constructed from Schedule 40 domestic brass nipples made from alloy 230. This red brass material is easier to machine, less brittle, and exhibits enhanced corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, preventing dezincification. The brass provides excellent resistance to corrosion from water and heat, as well as from saltwater, acids, and minerals found in peaty soils. Its primary use is for water applications in commercial plumbing and OEM settings, although it is also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
