The 3M™ Stikit™ Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U features 5" diameter aluminum oxide abrasive discs with a P240 grit size, supplied as 175 discs per roll. These open coat discs have long-lasting aluminum oxide abrasive grains bonded to a lightweight paper backing, designed for use with random orbital sanders. The discs incorporate a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing, enabling quick application and removal from a Stikit backup pad (sold separately) without contamination between uses. The load-resistant coating and open coat design prevent loading by allowing dust and debris to collect between abrasive grains, extending disc life and delivering more aggressive cutting performance compared to closed coat abrasives of the same grit. The discs are suitable for general sanding and finishing on substrates such as paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, composites, and fiberglass. They are applicable in AOEM finish preparation and repair, defect leveling, and orbital sanding in industries including AOEM and marine. The product complies with standard abrasive safety certifications and includes warranty terms as specified by 3M.
