The 3M™ Stikit™ paper D/F disc roll 236U measures 5" in diameter and features NH aluminum oxide abrasive with a P240 grit, containing 100 discs per roll. The discs have a strong C-weight paper backing that resists wear during aggressive sanding and an open-coat construction combined with a load-resistant coating to prevent clogging, maximizing cut efficiency and disc life. These discs are designed for sanding and finishing various surfaces including paint, primer, softwood, metal, plastic, hard and soft composites, and fiberglass. Each disc comes with a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing for quick and easy attachment to a compatible 3M™ Stikit™ backup pad (sold separately), enabling clean removal that leaves no residue and allows successive discs to adhere properly. The aluminum oxide mineral used provides fast cutting rates, durability, and self-fracturing cutting edges, making it suitable for both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. The discs are intended for use with tools such as disc sanders, random orbital sanders, or stationary disc sanders. The product meets industrial standards for performance and durability, and it comes with 3M’s standard warranty coverage terms.
