The 3M™ Stikit™ Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U features 5" diameter, NH (non-hole) discs made with aluminum oxide abrasive grains at P180 grit, with 175 discs per roll. These open coat coated abrasive discs have a long-lasting, load-resistant aluminum oxide abrasive on a lightweight paper backing and are designed for use with random orbital sanders. The discs have a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing for quick attachment to a Stikit backup pad, which is sold separately, enabling easy disc changes without liners and leaving a clean surface for subsequent discs. The open coat spacing reduces loading by allowing dust and debris to fall between abrasive grains, maintaining cutting efficiency and enabling a more aggressive cut than closed coat abrasives of the same grit size. These discs are suitable for sanding and finishing applications across substrates such as paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites including fiberglass. Typical applications include AOEM finish preparation and repair, defect repair and leveling, and orbital sanding, with industry use in AOEM and marine sectors.
