The 3M™ Stikit™ paper disc roll 426U includes 125 discs per roll, each measuring 5 inches in diameter with a NH (No Hole) configuration and featuring silicon carbide abrasive. These discs utilize a load-resistant coating and open coat abrasive design to minimize loading during use. The silicon carbide abrasive is fast cutting and produces a smoother finish than aluminum oxide or garnet abrasives, making it effective for finishing on hard woods, solid surfaces, white wood sanding, sealer sanding, solid surface applications, and where a fine finish is critical. Constructed with A-weight light paper and a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing, the discs flex with the backup pad to conform to contours and ensure consistent finishes, with the adhesive providing secure hold and easy changeout for multi-step sanding and finishing processes. Designed for use with rotary and random orbital sanders, these discs are suitable for general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling, and preparation prior to staining or painting. The open coat construction spaces abrasive grains to allow dust and debris to collect in the gaps, reducing loading and providing a more aggressive cut than equivalent closed coat abrasives, resulting in faster sanding performance. Silicon carbide, a synthetic mineral, is sharp and ideal for low-pressure applications like white wood sanding, finishing, and paint preparation, though it breaks down faster than aluminum oxide while delivering a superior finish.
