The 3M™ Trisect™ Finesse-It™ film disc roll 466LA measures 2" in diameter and features silicon carbide abrasive mineral graded A7, with 500 discs per roll. Utilizing proprietary 3M micro replication technology, micron-graded silicon carbide particles are formed into tiny pyramids and coated on a non-compressible polyester backing, allowing fresh, sharp mineral to be continually exposed as the pyramids wear, ensuring consistent cut and a predictable fine finish. Available in three grades—A3, A5, and A7—the discs accommodate a variety of topcoats and finish requirements. Each roll contains 500 individual film-backed discs designed for quick access and attachment to rotary tools or orbital sanders. Unlike conventional abrasives, the Trisect discs start sharp and maintain sharpness, providing improved, consistent quality and lasting up to five times longer. The three-dimensional structures across the entire abrasive surface ensure uniform performance and eliminate disc-to-disc variation, enabling precise finish control that can reduce grade sequences and process steps. Typical applications include AOEM finish preparation and repair, defect repair, and leveling, serving industries such as AOEM, general industrial, and paint preparation.
