The 3M™ Trisect™ Finesse-It™ Film Disc Roll 466LA measures 3/4" in diameter and is coated with NH silicon carbide abrasive, grade A3, containing 2000 discs per roll. It features proprietary 3M micro replication technology, where micron-graded silicon carbide particles are formed into tiny pyramids and coated on a non-compressible polyester backing. As the pyramids wear down, fresh sharp mineral is continually exposed, providing consistent cut and a predictable fine finish. The roll includes 500 individual film-backed discs designed for quick access and attachment to rotary tools or orbital sanders. Available in three grades—A3, A5, and A7—the discs accommodate various topcoats and finish process requirements. Unlike conventional abrasives, these discs maintain sharpness for longer, offering up to five times the life and enabling reduced grade sequences, fewer process steps, and fewer abrasive products. The three-dimensional abrasive structures are uniformly distributed over the surface for consistent performance and eliminate disc-to-disc variation. The product is suitable for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) finish preparation and repair, defect repair, and leveling, serving AOEM, general industrial, and paint preparation industries.
