The 3M™ Stikit™ Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U features 6" diameter aluminum oxide abrasive discs with a P80 grit rating, available in a roll containing 125 discs. These open coat, load-resistant discs have long-lasting aluminum oxide abrasive grains on a lightweight a-weight paper backing and incorporate a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing for easy attachment to a Stikit backup pad (sold separately), designed for use with a random orbital sander. The open coat construction spaces abrasive grains to reduce loading by allowing dust and debris to collect in the gaps, improving sanding efficiency and providing a more aggressive cut than comparable closed coat abrasives of the same grade. These discs are well-suited for general sanding and finishing applications on substrates such as paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites including fiberglass. The product supports applications including AOEM finish preparation and repair, defect repair and leveling, and orbital sanding, primarily serving the AOEM (Aftermarket Original Equipment Manufacturer) industry. The adhesive backing allows for clean removal, leaving the backup pad uncontaminated and ready for the next disc. Warranty terms apply as specified by 3M.
