The 3M™ Stikit™ Gold paper disc roll 216U measures 6" in diameter with a NH (non-hole) pattern and features aluminum oxide abrasive grains graded at P400. Each roll contains 175 discs made with an open coat construction and a load-resistant coating applied to a lightweight paper backing, suitable for use with a random orbital sander. These discs include a pressure sensitive adhesive backing designed to easily attach to a Stikit backup pad (sold separately) and remove cleanly without surface contamination, eliminating the need for disc liners. The open coat arrangement spaces abrasive grains to prevent loading caused by wood or paint dust accumulation, extending the disc’s service life and enabling a more aggressive cut compared to closed coat abrasives of the same grade. The discs are ideal for general sanding and finishing applications on substrates such as paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites including fiberglass, and are used in industries like AOEM for finish preparation, defect repair/leveling, and orbital sanding.
