The 3M™ Stikit™ paper D/F disc roll 236U measures 6 inches in diameter with a NH configuration and features aluminum oxide abrasive of P240 grit, containing 100 discs per roll. This adhesive-backed roll is designed for quick and easy attachment to a compatible 3M™ Stikit™ backup pad (sold separately), eliminating the need for disc liners. The discs have a durable C-weight paper backing that resists wear during aggressive sanding, with an open-coat construction and load-resistant coating that prevent clogging to maximize cutting efficiency and disc life. These discs are suitable for sanding and finishing on various surfaces, including paint, primer, softwood, metal, plastic, hard and soft composites, and fiberglass. The pressure-sensitive adhesive backing allows the discs to be pressed onto the backup pad and removed cleanly, leaving no contamination for subsequent discs. The discs should be used with a 3M™ Stikit™ backup pad attached to a disc sander, random orbital sander, or stationary disc sander. Aluminum oxide abrasive offers fast cutting rates, long life, and toughness, with self-fracturing properties that maintain sharpness longer than natural abrasives. This abrasive is widely used in both woodworking and metalworking for grinding, sanding, and finishing applications on a variety of materials, including ferrous alloys.
