3M™ Stikit™ paper disc roll 426U measures 6" in diameter with NH (no hole) and features 180 grit silicon carbide abrasive, containing 175 discs per roll. These sanding discs are designed for high-production environments and are ideal for white wood sanding, sealer sanding, solid surfaces, or applications where fine finish is critical. The discs utilize a load-resistant coating and an open coat abrasive design to minimize loading by spacing abrasive grains to allow dust and debris collection, improving cut performance and longevity. The silicon carbide abrasive is fast-cutting, provides a smoother finish compared to aluminum oxide or garnet, and is effective on hardwoods and solid surfaces. The discs are constructed with A-weight light paper and feature a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing that ensures flexibility with the backup pad, allowing the discs to conform to contours and produce consistent finishes while holding securely in place for easy change-out in multi-step sanding and finishing processes. These discs are suitable for use on rotary and random orbital sanders and are applied for general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling, and preparation prior to staining or painting on bare wood. Silicon carbide is a synthetic mineral sharp enough for low-pressure applications but may break down faster than aluminum oxide, yielding a superior finish.
