The 3M™ Stikit™ Gold paper disc roll 216U contains 175 discs per roll, each measuring 6 inches in diameter and featuring NH (non-hole) aluminum oxide abrasive grains with a P180 grit. The discs have a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing designed for quick attachment to a Stikit backup pad (sold separately), compatible with random orbital sanders. Constructed with open coat, long-lasting aluminum oxide abrasive grains on a light A-weight paper backing, these discs are suited for lightweight sanding and finishing on substrates such as paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites including fiberglass. The open coat and load-resistant coating prevent loading by allowing dust and debris to collect between abrasive grains, resulting in a longer service life and faster cutting compared to closed coat abrasives of the same grade. The product is intended for applications including AOEM finish preparation and repair, defect repair and leveling, and orbital sanding, primarily serving the AOEM industry. The 3M™ Stikit™ discs come ready to use with clean removal, leaving an uncontaminated surface for subsequent discs, and must be used with a corresponding Stikit backup pad attached to a random orbital sander.
