The 3M™ Stikit™ paper disc roll 426U includes 175 sanding discs on a roll, each measuring 6" in diameter with a NH hole pattern, featuring silicon carbide abrasive rated at 320 grit. These discs are designed for use in high-production environments and are ideal for white wood sanding, sealer sanding, solid surface finishing, or applications where a fine finish is critical. The silicon carbide abrasive is fast cutting and creates a smoother finish than aluminum oxide or garnet, making it effective for finishing hard woods and solid surfaces. Each disc is constructed with a lightweight A-weight paper backing and a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) that allows the disc to flex with the backup pad and conform over contours for consistent finishes. The adhesive backing ensures the disc stays securely in place during use and allows for quick changes in multi-step sanding and finishing. These discs are compatible with rotary and random orbital sanders and are suitable for general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling, preparation for staining or painting, and bare wood sanding. The open coat design spaces abrasive grains to reduce loading from dust and debris, enhancing cutting performance and extending disc life, while providing a more aggressive cut than closed coat abrasives of the same grit. Silicon carbide is a synthetic sharp mineral suited for low-pressure sanding applications, producing superior finishes despite a faster breakdown compared to aluminum oxide.
