The 3M™ Stikit™ paper disc roll 426U includes 175 discs per roll, each measuring 5 inches in diameter with a NH (no hole) configuration and featuring silicon carbide abrasive at a grit size of 320. These multiple sanding discs are packaged in a roll format designed for high-production environments and are ideal for applications such as white wood sanding, sealer sanding, solid surface finishing, or any task where a fine finish is critical. The discs incorporate a load-resistant coating and open coat abrasives, which minimize loading by spacing abrasive grains to allow dust and debris to collect in the spaces rather than clogging the surface, providing faster cutting and longer disc life. The silicon carbide abrasive is fast cutting and produces a smoother finish compared to aluminum oxide or garnet abrasives, making it effective for finishing hard woods and solid surfaces. Constructed with A-weight light paper and pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing, each disc flexes with the backup pad and conforms over contours to produce consistent finishes, while the strong adhesive ensures secure attachment and quick disc changes during multi-step sanding and finishing processes. These discs are compatible with rotary and random orbital sanders and are suitable for general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling, preparation prior to staining or painting, and bare wood sanding. Silicon carbide, a sharp synthetic mineral, is optimal for low-pressure applications such as white wood sanding, finishing, and paint preparation, offering superior finish quality despite breaking down faster than aluminum oxide.
