The 3M™ Stikit™ Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U features 5-inch open coat aluminum oxide abrasive discs with P280 grit, housed on a roll containing 175 discs each. These discs are made with long-lasting aluminum oxide grains on a lightweight paper backing and include a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing for easy application to a Stikit backup pad (sold separately), designed for use with a random orbital sander. The load-resistant coating and open coat design help prevent loading by allowing dust and debris to collect between abrasive grains, enhancing disc life and providing a more aggressive cut than closed coat abrasives of the same grade. Suitable for general sanding and finishing on substrates such as paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites including fiberglass, these discs are ideal for AOEM finish preparation, repair, defect leveling, and orbital sanding in industries such as AOEM and marine. The discs remove cleanly from the backup pad, leaving an uncontaminated surface for subsequent discs, facilitating efficient workflow.
