The 3M™ Stikit™ paper disc roll 426U measures 6" in diameter and features NH (non-hole) silicon carbide abrasive, with 100 to 125 discs per roll. This roll is designed for high-production sanding environments and is ideal for applications such as white wood sanding, sealer sanding, solid surface finishing, and other tasks where a fine finish is critical. The discs use fast-cutting silicon carbide abrasive with a load-resistant coating and an open coat design to reduce clogging by allowing dust to collect in spaces between abrasive grains, resulting in longer disc life and more aggressive cutting compared to closed coat abrasives. The backing is made from A-weight light paper with pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) that ensures the disc flexes with the backup pad and conforms to contours for consistent finishes, and also enables quick change-out during multi-step sanding and finishing processes. These discs are suitable for use with rotary and random orbital sanders and support applications including general sanding, finishing, blending, surface leveling, and preparation prior to staining or painting. Silicon carbide, a synthetic mineral, is sharp and ideal for low-pressure applications but breaks down faster than aluminum oxide while producing a smoother finish.
