The 3M™ Stikit™ Gold Paper D/F Disc Roll 216U features 5" diameter aluminum oxide abrasive discs with a P80 grit size, comprising 125 discs per roll. These discs have an open coat design with load-resistant coating on a lightweight paper backing and are intended for use with a Stikit backup pad (sold separately) on a random orbital sander. The pressure-sensitive adhesive backing allows quick attachment and clean removal, preserving the backup pad surface for repeated use. The open coat aluminum oxide grains resist loading by allowing wood or paint dust to settle in the gaps, providing a more aggressive cut compared to closed coat abrasives of the same grade. This product is suitable for sanding and finishing applications on various substrates such as paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites including fiberglass. Applications include AOEM finish preparation, repair, defect leveling, and orbital sanding, serving industries like AOEM and marine.
