The 3M™ Trisect™ Finesse-IT™ Film Disc Roll 466LA measures 1 3/8" in diameter and features micron-graded silicon carbide abrasive mineral in grade A3, with 500 individual film-backed discs per roll. It utilizes proprietary 3M Micro Replication Technology, where silicon carbide particles are formed into tiny pyramids coated on a non-compressible polyester backing, providing consistent cut and a predictable fine finish as fresh sharp mineral is continuously exposed during use. The disc roll is available in three grades—A3, A5, and A7—to accommodate a variety of topcoats and finish requirements. Designed for quick access and attachment to rotary tools or orbital sanders, these discs start sharp and stay sharp, lasting up to five times longer than conventional abrasive discs while enabling precise finish control, reducing the number of grade sequences and process steps required. The three-dimensional abrasive structures are uniformly distributed across the entire surface to ensure consistent performance and eliminate disc-to-disc variation. Applications include AOEM finish preparation, repair, and defect leveling, serving industries such as AOEM, general industrial, and paint preparation.
