The 3M™ Trisect™ Finesse-It™ film disc roll 466LA measures 1 1/4" in diameter and features NH silicon carbide abrasive with an A3 grade, containing 500 discs per roll. It utilizes proprietary 3M micro replication technology, where micron-graded silicon carbide particles are formed into tiny abrasive pyramids coated on a non-compressible polyester backing. As the abrasive pyramids wear down, fresh sharp mineral surfaces are continually exposed, ensuring consistent cutting performance and a fine, predictable finish. The film disc rolls come in three grades—A3, A5, and A7—to accommodate various topcoats and finishing requirements. These 500 individual, film-backed discs are designed for quick access and easy attachment to rotary tools or orbital sanders. Unlike conventional abrasives, the 3M™ Trisect™ Finesse-It™ film disc 466LA maintains sharpness for extended use, lasting up to five times longer and providing precise finish control that can reduce the number of grade sequences and process steps required. The three-dimensional abrasive structures are uniformly distributed across the entire surface, ensuring consistent performance and minimizing disc-to-disc variation. This product is suitable for AOEM finish preparation and defect repair or leveling and is used in AOEM, general industrial, and paint preparation industries.
