The 3M™ Stikit™ Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U features 5" diameter discs made of open coat aluminum oxide abrasive grains on a lightweight a-weight paper backing with a P220 grit grade, designed for use with random orbital sanders. Each roll contains 175 discs with a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing for easy attachment and removal from the Stikit backup pad, which is sold separately. The open coat construction and load-resistant coating help prevent loading by allowing dust and debris to collect between abrasive grains, enhancing disc service life and providing a more aggressive cut than closed coat abrasives. These discs are suitable for general sanding and finishing on various substrates such as paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites including fiberglass. The product is intended for applications like AOEM finish preparation and repair, defect repair, leveling, and orbital sanding across industries including AOEM and marine. The adhesives allow clean removal to leave an uncontaminated surface receptive for new discs. Warranty information is included with the product.
