The 3M™ Stikit™ Gold Paper Disc Roll 216U features 5" diameter discs made of long-lasting aluminum oxide abrasive grains with a P600 grit size on a light A-weight paper backing, containing 175 discs per roll. These open coat discs include a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing that enables quick attachment to a Stikit backup pad (sold separately) for use with a random orbital sander, eliminating the need for disc liners. The open coat and load-resistant coating help prevent loading by spacing abrasive grains to allow dust and debris to collect in the gaps, providing a more aggressive cut and longer service life. These discs are suitable for general sanding and finishing applications on various substrates such as paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites including fiberglass. Designed to handle a wide range of sanding and finishing tasks, the Stikit discs remove cleanly from the pad, leaving an uncontaminated surface for subsequent discs. Typical applications include AOEM finish preparation and repair, defect repair and leveling, and orbital sanding, serving industries such as AOEM and marine. The product is intended for use in conjunction with a Stikit backup pad attached to a random orbital sander. Warranty terms apply as specified by 3M.
