The 3M™ Stikit™ cloth disc roll 341D measures 6 inches in diameter with aluminum oxide grit 80 and includes 100 discs per roll. These adhesive-backed aluminum oxide discs are designed for heavy-duty operations requiring a heavy cloth backing, such as heavy stock removal on wood, metal, composites, and solid surface materials. The discs feature a heavy X-weight cloth backing with a resin bond to prolong disc life in high heat and high pressure applications, while the fast-cutting aluminum oxide grain provides fast, continuous cut and long-life performance on numerous substrates. The Stikit backing easily presses onto the backup pad and removes cleanly for quick grade changes. Aluminum oxide is selected for its fast cut-rate, hardness, and durability; it self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges and is commonly used for grinding, sanding, and finishing on materials including ferrous alloys in woodworking and metalworking. The discs have a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating on the backside, allowing easy attachment to the disc pad and clean removal without residue, eliminating the need for a liner. The Stikit discs should be used with a 3M Stikit backup pad (sold separately), compatible with disc sanders including disc sanders, random orbital sanders, or stationary disc sanders. Common applications include blending, deburring, flat area grinding, orbital sanding, random orbital sanding, and metal fabrication.
